Correct. The philanthropy of some rich people is no substitute for comprehensive taxation. The rich always have their pet projects - what about the many others who don't get this support? A big part of building great wealth is tax avoidance, and that comes at the expense of the whole country.

Absolutely if we didn't have billionaires society would be a significant drop in Government and worldwide corruption. There should be legislation in place against them bribing & influencing politicians or donating large amounts to policitical parties & should be taxed higher depending on wealth.

The country worked when billionaires paid high taxes. Also ‘money is speech’ from the Supreme Court pulled out of their ass. Corporations are not persons they are a legal fiction and they should not interfere with elections.

This why our country is fucked unless things change.
