In the end, this is what Islam does and requires - for centuries as documented in your history books when it comes to Arab/Muslim imperialism/colonialism.
First, correlation is not causation. Second, it turns out there's a whole bunch of domestic terrorists who were NOT military veterans - and even more military veterans who have not become terrorists.
But if you're really concerned, and not just venting your spleen on the military, perhaps you could advocate for us not losing our healthcare to privatization, and maybe even expanding our access to mental health care a bit. Especially post-deployment.
Not surprised at all that he was ex military. That is a pattern in these terrorist attacks. Daniel Perry for example, the murderer who drove into BLM protestors and shot Garrett Foster, was also ex military. We need to be talking about this connection.
(Not clear to me whether this was in HHT/1-40 at the squadron’s main FOB, or he was attached from the S-1 shop to one of the line troops at a smaller outpost…Groen appears to have been the C/1-40 commander during the deployment, but possible he had HHT before or after)
Super sad. Here we have the Baker Act where someone can be held for psych evaluation BEFORE they hurt themselves or others. Not being able to intervene until something horrible happens, it makes no sense.
A different kind of radicalization, Michael Flynn went from this to believing in QAnon in less than a decade. I don't understand how this happens, in either case.
"Cheese was noticeably sliding off his cracker..." !!!!! Excellent!!! I'm going to use that, if you don't mind. I think there's going to be a lot of opportunity for that line in the coming times.
Aha! I remember that Obama did not recommend him for a position, so you're right. Thanks for the info, I will follow up with that and the searches you suggest.
I'm sorry, but I hate this so much. Has anyone seen the Daniel Tosh bit? Why, every time theres a disaster, do people have to put out statements "i knew him for 20 years, I never could have seen this coming."

Talking to hubby about this last night. Women are assaulted, raped, abused, oppressed on the regular. We don’t commit mass murder about it….historically anyway. I can see that changing if things continue the way they are. It’s gonna be a rough decade or so.
Outrage that someone should kill a bunch of Americans. Obviously, it was fine for him to ‘professionally’ invade someone else’s country and carry out mass murder but they were just foreigners so I guess that doesn’t count. And certainly no awareness of the violent hypocrisy of the USA. #roguestate
just goes to show that the average "troop commander" knows absolutely nothing about their actual troops.
every commander acts completely surprised when their "quiet" troop fucks up

That's some cya language if I ever heard it. The Armed forces needs to rethink their recruits.
Were also seeing more and more civil lawsuits against police / sheriffs for violations of civil rights- many are ex military
Totally wrong mindsets -
Seek & destroy
vs
Serve & protect
Veterans need our help
