Caine has had an unusual career already: Got into the JSOC world by helping with the air side of the planning for the SOF Scud hunt ahead of OIF1, and then being a pilot attached to 24th STS.

Usually the Air Force officers who wind up as JSOC ACGs etc. have AFSOC MH-53/MC-130/AC-130 backgrounds.
