The damage is in the doing and cannot be undone. We can only stop it and resolve to not do this again. In time, we’ll establish a better course and make peace with the loss of what could have been, but there is no such thing as a free dictatorship. The cost is high and enduring.

SCOTUS will say it’s unconstitutional but also a political dispute between two branches of government and that the only remedy would be for Congress to impeach him
