Clearly they don’t care about truth. Just their own feelings. Male and female are extremely common terminology in the military. They are not offensive and should be used.

I didn't see it as a matter of truth, just an oddly combative comment in a thread about use of the word female outside of the scientific community vs. how it's used in the "manosphere".
Yours was a very dismissive comment. Understanding the difference between using male and female or just using females is the key to understand why oh but we use it here isn't actually relevant to the conversation.
Uh, it is though? They were saying that outside of scientific usage it is used similarly in the military, which they didn’t even say was a GOOD thing and explicitly said was sometimes used negatively. That is the topic at hand.
This is supposed to be the social media platform where we don’t assume somebody adding in information from their own experience is attacking us for no reason, people.
I don't really care about your experience it just basic reading comprehension. The original post was talking about the use of "females" to dehumanise women not asking for a list of contexts where male and female are used.
Yeah so there’s probably a bunch of legitimate exceptions but OP is clearly talking about people using it in regular conversation. It’s a huge red flag and shouldn’t be ignored.
