I'm posting quotes not to focus on dark subjects, but to shed light on where some of the authoritarian tendencies originate. I think it's important to understand the origins of the twisted views that the president- elect has.

So, with the fact that the majority of media is left leaning, I don't think this hits the way you intended. It's only been within the last couple of years that it's went from 99% left, leaning to now about 95%

Joe and Mika’s capitulation with Trump seems more about self-preservation than finding common ground as they were both aggressive toward Trump for years. Trump is sue happy (look at ABC having to pay Trump $15M for a “defamation”settlement). They’re preventing themselves or MSNBC from getting sued.
The self preservation part we could have dealt with. Telling us we have to find a way to work with Trump's administration and the right, then ranting and admonishing us when viewership whent down, saying he did it for us, is bullshit
