Puerto Rico 🇵🇷: a sign that separate & unequal persists in the U.S. Intentionally excluded from statehood, because it serves the interests of the obscenely wealthy. Seen as a "foreign" part of the States such that when Puerto Ricans go to the mainland, they are still called "immigrants."

Odd how a US territory (that it refuses to resolve the status of) where 50% of children live in poverty has been undergoing over a decade of demographic collapse and you rarely hear about it.
