Hackers always will find a new way to scam…
Even if I have email, I try always to find an official website myself, login and go from there.

Good Tip. As a, personal, practice I never click on links.
I go, directly, to the website and looke for the message that drove the notification.

Had it not been explained, it would've gone right over my head

When I get a suspect email, I forward it to the correct authorities with their security personnel, who don't seem to care.
