Use the Save As button in the ribbon and it goes to a local folder immediately (YMMV)

Saving to your local should be the default not the option with an extra step

Did you know there are many Gen z who don’t even know where their files are saved? I once had a student submit an essay named “Document 978”

That's exactly how M$ wants it.

They try to hide the file directory nowadays!

The only stuff on my onedrive is stuff i accidentally saved or moved there
