I had an artist from etsy once add a pin of what I think is their oc/sona or at least one off own design (idk them well) as a freebie to my order! Happened a few times with stickers from artists too!
thats so nice of them!! most of the time tho, the freebies are usually items that dont sell as well :,3 pins get pretty pricey too so imagine it doesnt happen to often

This may be helpful for stickers, small distribution places like vograce, you can make a handful of stickers and just exchange them with friends or offer them as freebies in merch. I have a friend who got a few stickers made of herself just to give to friends
as far as im aware this is actually pretty common amongst furries to do! People hand out little stickers of their characters at cons
Otherwise the best way to get this kind of thing started is to start doing it yourself with friends!
yess i saw its pretty common with furries because fursonas are a big thing, but other artists not so much ;w; unless ofc their entire portfolio is just oc content, but its pretty hard to build your platform that way unfortunately
For anyone who doesn't know about it, there's Wooacry! You can do a minimum of 1 order for things and mock ups are free on their site. They have sample sticker and acrylic packs for sale. Sometimes does IG lives if you have questions or wanna see what products may look like.
At the most recent con i went to some artisrs had keychains and such of their ocs along with anime and video game chars and half the time the ocs were like 10 x cuter/cooler lol. I saved so many artists stores waiting so i get get their oc content
my friend @nolnir.com has merch of their ocs and its so so cute... theyre just little guys. if all oc artists supported each other on bsky i think we could see so much more of it!!
You know how artists do merch trades or oc trading cards sometimes? I think it'd be cool if there were oc merch trading events at conventions that would be fun :)

I made a bunch of stickers of my comic character and keep mailing them to people at random hehe and they can send me stuff back so it's like trading! there's some pretty low MOQ places nowadays so it's easy to get a small handful and pass them all around and split shipping. Printful also works 4 POD

What's the best sites you would recommend! I've been considering remaking some of my stickers, and making new ones, but I'm just not sure which site would be the best to use!
vograce is pretty popular and theres another one recently called wooacry; for stickers specifically im not sure because i make my ownβ search for best priceβ but for merchandise these sites are pretty reputable; u can also try looking for your own manu but it gets risky
I used to use Teespring, but their prices were wild... I'd rather sell multiple stickers at once than one expensive one at a time! I was considering redbubble, but I may look into the ones you offered!

I think the problem with makeship is that they make a batch full of plushies and you need to meet a quota for them, unless I have that info wrongβ¦π

I made acrylic standees of one of my d&d characters and gave one to the DM and one to the player who played his brother. The third one sits happily on my shelf!
