I don't think that's entirely fair.

I think rules are safety for many and it's natural to want to stick to them. That doesn't mean it's an effective strategy - but it's utterly comprehensible and in any other situation, would probably be ok.

It’s a false feeling of safety, if that’s how people feel. You can’t sit in your comfort zone and expect that fascism will disappear. It will continue to grow, and there will be less safety as time moves forward. Now is the time to revolt, before there is nothing left.

Democracy in the US is over! In Canada we face fascist from the south and fascist in Alberta. We are still a democracy for the time being. The next election will decide if we are a democracy facing the existential threat from the south or now Fascist and the threat invited in.
