FWIW Twitter changed their algorithm recently to stop likes from amplifying posts, so that's no longer a point of distinction.

Is there a way to stop "reposts" from people you've followed? I noticed on "the other site" people opened the app, reposted fifty posts, then disappeared (but never posted anything themselves).

I found this "Only Posts" feed, which is actual posts from people you follow with no reposts or replies.

Related add-on: Unlike posts, likes *do* help visibility for feeds. They appear in order of popularity unless/until the user follows and reorders them.

Actually they do in the Discover algo -- which is getting a lot of active work right now. When it stabilizes into a v2 (though really more like a v1) we'll explain how it works
