The problem with "block and move on" is that it becomes less practical the more prominent you are. Prominent people or orgs arriving and posting here can face hundreds of abusive replies including death threats within hours/minutes. It's Bluesky's responsibility to stop this and they're failing.

While the nuclear block option is a possibility, it does stop all exchange of ideas. I often find myself wondering if a block is reflective of poor writing skills (in a restricted medium like this), rather than always "obvious" trolling.

One thing I really don't miss from the old place - quote repliers, who never replied directly to a post. Very trollish behaviour. I found the best way to stop the conversation was usually to start quote replying back.
