I played Oblivion forever ago and it's probably my favorite Bethesda game, but I don't necessarily feel the need to revisit it. I'm early in Metaphor but Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and South of Midnight both look fantastic and I'm tempted to try them out. - ThreadSky

I've played it at least 3 times in the past, and one of those playthroughs was in the last 5 years. So whilst I'd like to revisit the game in its Unreal 5 engine glory, it can wait until I've played some more of my backlog. Might be cheaper by the time I get round to it too.

I'm also not the biggest fan of the Bethesda formula and I think Oblivion was the first and last time I really enjoyed it. (Also played Skyrim and some Fallout 3). But that sense of going anywhere and doing anything was pretty special in Oblivion

South of Midnight and Expedition 33 are definitely my favorites for 2025 so far.
