Well I think the attack last week followed by the one yesterday in France didnt help...Putin was probably behind them but after the quantity in the last few years without any real changes in certain things, Im not surprised. Sweden went right because crime problems also.
From what I understand in Europe, it’s the migrants. Not all (a majority) are hostile, but the few who are make big trouble.
I don’t know the answer, but looking at why their coming to Europe would be a start… why is their country war-torn? Why are there no jobs?
Just proves a point, former Warsaw pact countries just haven't matured enough to be considered European. For example, Poland, Hungary, Czechia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and East Germany.
Have you ever been to any of these countries? Poland and the Czech Repubic, the two I know best, are European success stories. Not without their challenges, but economically and culturally European through and through.
Czechia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and especially Poland have been far more european than some european countries. They have all helped Ukraine from the beginning offering far more humanitarian aid than western european countries. Same with Lithuania and Slovenia and Estonia.
From the comments on here, it's clear that people don't necessarily understand the reality of post-reunification Germany and what effect it had on the East of Germany. Easy to call them all names and lump them in all together.. I am from there and would never vote right /AfD.. we aren't all the same
Not making excuses for people voting AfD. I can't stand the fact they did so well, especially where I am originally from. But it's never in a vacuum that these things start..
The former East Germans who lived under and were educated by the USSR/East Germans would have very little cultural respect or knowledge of what Western Liberal Democracy stands for.
