If you stop paying your electric bill, are you “saving money”? Or do you just not have power in your house anymore? If you stop paying all your utilities, are you “cutting costs,” or do you just not have lighting, climate control, water, or internet? What’s a house without those things?

I appreciate the deep reporting here but would add one thing: This isn’t just an attack on the federal workforce. It’s an assault on the entire country. We ALL rely on government services that Musk is paralyzing. The impact of his cuts will only grow more horrific.
