It's too early to know for sure, but something seems off about the backlash to Karl Jobst losing his trial. Like I could be wrong, but right now it has all the signs of an angry Reddit mob that will look stupid later in the week.

From everything I can find, it looks to me like he had a bad legal defense but didn't lie about what the trial was about. He said in a video last year he would bring up as many things as possible to show that Billy Mitchell's reputation was already bad and he couldn't be defamed.
This backfired because the judge took issue with one of them and it ended up being the crux of why he lost, but the claim that he lied and said the trial was about Donkey Kong scores when it wasn't seems bunk to me
It's currently in the "random YouTubers yelling about a screenshot of an article" stage of the controversy, like that time those same YouTubers were mad at IGN for saying a mean thing about Stellar Blade, so it's hard to take seriously
idk what happened but didn't the guy run defense for an obvious cheater with the most flimsy arguments in history after getting famous for grilling another cheater? i seem to remember that being p disappointing
