I’m from Sheffield, I hosted for 18 month at the start of the invasion unfortunately she had to return due to her father illness. There’s a big Ukrainian community in Sheffield I do what I can to help them adjust to life in the UK
I now have lots of new friends & new places to visit & see in 🇺🇦

I feel like I had two lives - one that is kind of put on pause in Ukraine, and that new one in Sheffield, in a safe place with new people and comfort. I felt guilty that I was so safe, I missed my friends and family and that is why I came back. If not war, I would like to live there longer
