I dunno... I'm not totally convinced... I mainly remember the filibuster being used for Lieberman to kill the public option and stuff like that. I think we're way past the point where a few "good bills" are gonna fundamentally change anything.

It was not about blocking maga from gaining power, for me it's about allowing politicians to enact policy and either improve things or fuck up. If what they pass is a sbit show that degrades the US, I'd rather live in a nation and a world where there is some real material feedback to shit policy.
