My oldest cat had a pepper plant snack this morning. I’m very disappointed. 🥺 I held off planting them because of the 50 degree nights. Turns out they would have been better outside.

I doubt it. The pic doesn’t relay how bad the one really is. I had them outside yesterday to plant them and held off because of a storm that was coming our way and the temps. Man that is a pisser. 😡😂
(Says the lady who lost $80 worth of tomato plants once to frost one year. Around 20, planted one sunny day and frost that night. Yes, I had heard the forecast, I didn’t believe it.)
(Only once!)
(I never planted before Mother’s Day after that!)
This is a possible outcome 🤣
We tried putting Tabasco sauce on surfaces to keep our rabbits from chewing them. They loved licking it off and chewed more🤣
Your cat didn't bite the crowns, so there's hope. Your peppers may respond to leaf chewing by growing more side branches. Have faith on your peppers👍💚🌱
Last resort is to clip the crowns with ~ 10 cm stem with them and put them on vase (liquid nutrient in water, houseplant nutrient is fine as far as by my experience) to grow new roots. Of course, the harvest will be delayed somewhat, but it will come much faster than starting from scratch.
Success depends of course on what kind of peppers they are. With highly bred varieties, it can be more challenging. Rooting hormone could be beneficial.
I think I’m gonna see what they do before that. She ate the two long cayenne and if nothing else, I can buy short cayenne from the store and go with that. What kind of liquid nutrient would I use? Just like fertilizer in water?
Yes. I have this, I dont know If this is available at least with the same brand name outside northern Europe. This one is the type of nutrient that can be found in supermarkets.
Got it! I have a good general fertilizer I've been using on them. I fertilize them tomorrow and go from there. Thank you for your help and encouraging words. ☺️🙏
She is a turd for sure. If I ever give her the opportunity, she will take advantage. Toilet paper is not safe around her in the least.
I just watered the plants and they have a little fertilizer in the soil so maybe they'll be okay. I have six more peppers I just started this week so ya know...

We ended up with pepper sticks after something ate ours. Deer? Squirrel? Ground hog? No idea.
I see new growth at the top, and they look like that have a strong root system, don't give up on them
Naughty kitty! 🤭
