Data standards enable easy analysis, collaboration and data sharing. Existing efforts such as Neurodata Without Borders are excellent, but adoption can be difficult, especially for small labs. In particular, this work is heavily inspired by BIDS.

NeuroBlueprint was developed as a “stepping stone” to full standardisation. The aim is to gain as many of the benefits of standardisation as possible, without needing to substantially change existing workflows.
