No, but it said if you don't have a passport. I have a passport. I have a R.E.A.L. license. I do have an issue where my marriage certificate middle name (which is a legal change of name) does not match my birth certificate middle name. I might have to do a legal name change.
Feel free to. If you’d like to bring the Handmaids Tale into being then repeatedly visualize it. If you want to bring something else into being, visualize something else.
If I were young, I’d keep my maiden name. There’s no good reason now to legally change your name. A bride can still adopt a married name for social purposes. Friends won’t ask Mrs. John Doe to provide her birth certificate. She is still Mrs Doe to them. Property can be held jointly in any name(s).
Not entirely. I considered reverting to my maiden after divorce & remarriage.
Consider widowed or divorced women. Some have 3+ names.
As an aside, parents should be mindful of names used on baby’s birth certificate. Precise identity on documents affects many legalities throughout life.
Maybe so, unfortunately there doesn’t exist a single Republican Senator that isn’t a MAGA traitor as seen through the last four weeks or whatever it’s been w/all the crimes & confirmation of the most unqualified, corrupt, disgusting, sociopathic ghouls our country has to offer
Dems should frame the SAVE Act as "trump is forcing women to not take their husband's name". It should be brought up in EVERY interview and decried as Republican's attacking traditional marriage. I mean they would do this if it was a Dem proposal
Isn't your marriage certificate all you would need to prove your legal change of name? Also if passed this is only for people newly registering to vote.

Is your birth certificate name and passport name the same?

When I want to know a source, I always do my own search first and only if I can't find one, ask the OP for the source.
And KEEP IT UP FOR YEARS.
And that's the point.

It's going to be a bumper few years for lawyers.
On its face, the proposed act is just a way to disenfranchise women. The good lawyers can save us.
They're trying to.
And I, for one, am not going to let them.
Great idea
He needs to go.
People continue to think logically.
There is no logical process to this. It's meant to disempower and terrify people.
Their TL is fine.
What is your point, exactly?
Absolutely NOT.
🤬if you voted for your own destruction of agency
