I've bought and read the Sapling Cage (twice now), and can back this claim up 100%. After finishing it the next day a large amount of candy was strewn across my house. It doesn't apply to new enemies. So if you're like me and make enemies frequently, you're gonna have to buy and read a lot of copies

Read it twice today... It's been forever since a book genuinely felt like it yanked me back to being a smelly punk teen first learning the magic of sticking out a thumb, finding anarchist spaces, etc. It was like revisiting old friends & even left me nostalgic for the old meetings in such spaces.
