does book banning work in a country with internet access? i think neil postman says danger is not caring rather than the bans. and the bans do seem to reignite non-readers into picking up those books.

the books being targeted by fascist school boards are largely in schools full of kids too young to have unsupervised internet access and areas where many older kids’ parents tightly control their access to keep them away from the info/ideas contained in those books, so yes, it works.
