I remember spontaneously at least two mistresses: Mary Boleyn and the mother of his bastard son (forgot the name). Probably there were many more. So not a monogamist. Maybe just "murderous serial husband"?
He certainly had mistresses, most infamously Anne Boleyn herself. But he was quite remarkable for wanting to be in love with the women he married, or whatever passed for love in his egomaniacal mind. Most kings and lords of his era saw marriage as a business transaction.
Although monogamy is not necessarily an indicator of moral uprightness in kings. Edward I was entirely faithful to his adored wife, but happily slaughtered anybody else he decided was in his way.
Actually the mistresses did pretty well out of it for the most part. Especially Bessie Blount, who had a son. She was thrust into a wealthy marriage that was far above her rank and seems to have been happy with her husband. Her son was made a Duke twice over but died in his teens.
