Kuu’s inexplicable smugness is similar to Jaco’s proud pose in Resurrection “F” as he declares he won’t fight (a contrast Toriyama specified in the script), and Kuririn’s similar response in the DBS manga’s ToP arc (likewise specified by Toriyama in corrections to Toyotaro)

A belated note on last week’s episode: Bulma’s response on first seeing Kuu+Duu is a shocked まじ/maji/“really?!”, which the CR subtitler apparently misheard as Majin. This ends up making her comment in this episode seem a bit redundant.

I’ve said this a few times, but in Japanese the evil eye is called both by the English phrase “Third Eye” and the Japanese equivalent, 第三の目/Dai-San no Me. The CR subs use Latin for the latter, but “Tertian” apparently means “every third day” and should be “Tertius” instead.

(I understand that they presumably wanted to avoid saying “Third Eye” twice in a row, but honestly, if the Japanese version uses both the English and Japanese terms for “Third Eye”, why not just do likewise for the English subs? How does Latin enter the picture?)
