I've shaded this illustration of Elf and Amazon meeting a funny snake - and speaking to other artists who follow me, I'm actually incredibly curious on what you think of the coloring and if you know something about it if and how I could improve it without abandoning this cartoony cel shaded style

But in all seriousness, thank you -
But in all seriousness, I second the comment about using a cooler color for the shadows to contrast all of the warm colors in the piece. Would really make the shadows pop
It's just that sometimes I feel like it's a bit lacking

As I look at this piece and I compare the two captives, one has highlights and sexy basic shaping, the other has erotic flatter, skin-correct coloring and maybe too much shading.
Neither approach is wrong, but detail (& color value correction) is better for lewd.
That's part of the coloring process too π«
I was more focused on your struggle to choose between a detailed style and a cel-shaded one. Rendered detail focuses on the tactile, cartoon emphasizes emotion/shapes.
Maybe try a pair of pieces - one cel-shaded, and then one rendered and detailed?
But yeah, I'll do my best
It reminds me of Araki's inconsistent yet beautiful coloring of Jojo
