When nobody comes to your place and you’re convinced you’re probably going to die before the age of 20 what reason do you have to buy knickknacks or decor of any kind. Also there’s something to be said about the mentality of “nothing is permanent so why should I bother carving out a home for myself” & “everything could fall apart tomorrow so I need to own as little as possible so I can get up and go in the middle of the night easily, because nothing is permanent”

I think he keeps all of his important belongings (wallet, keys, etc) in his briefcase, has toiletries/makeup/skincare in his bathroom, like 1 of each kitchen utensil, a dusty bookshelf full of books he read the first 10 pages of in order to pass himself off as cultured, and rawdogs everything else

I have so many thoughts on his “bedroom that is more of a dressing room” btw. Very fancy bed, very nice bedding—he doesn’t fucking sleep there. He sleeps on the couch with a blanket and sometimes a pillow. He’s so “I need to get up and go whenever wherever” to me I cannot see him being comfy ever

Ok I love this. A designer watch he lets collect dust on his dresser because the cheap fake leather one works fine, one of those fancy lamps he doesn’t turn on with shelving that he doesn’t use, expensive kitchen tools when he had a stint of “I’m going to learn how to cook bc now I have to use this”
