Witcher 3's reputation has exceeded its reality. Witcher 4 will be a disappointment at launch no matter how good it is. Players will expect it to be the second coming.
Ughh, Witcher 3 is one of my favorite stories. A general rule of stories: after 3 iterations in a story, there's usually no more story to tell. Hence why 4th, 5th, etc are almost always so bad, lazy, & poor redundant ripoffs of the good 1st 3 stories. Here's to hoping CDR avoids the curse, doubt it
The reaction to Cyberpunk on release was probably the most overblown phenomenon I had witnessed up to that point, and I’d argue that conversation shaped the toxicity in gaming that we see now w every new release. Game was fine at launch, gamers are just soft as baby shit.
