The only Windows machine I have is a 2020 year Lenovo laptop that’s been in storage for a while. I sure as shit hope it will run this game because otherwise I’ll be waiting and hoping for a console port. Since I very much doubt it will ever see light on a Mac

I don't know how many they released, but I know I had 3 different games from the same franchise on ps2. I liked NFS but this game scratched a different itch. It felt more like a sim and definitely more grounded than most other tuner games.

The Genki racing project stuff is on the Arcade side of Simcade I'd say. Their later games which were the Kaido battle series and C1:GP were getting closer to that but still a little janky.

There was one on 360 too but I never got to play that one.

This actually has nothing to do with NFS Underground. TXR focuses exclusively on Japanese Highway Racing on the Shuto Expressway.

Except for TXR Drift, which focuses on mountain pass racing.

I was completely addicted to the Dreamcast game back then and played every US release up to Import Tuner Challenge (X360). It will still get low scores because the highways "all look the same". 🤷‍♂️
Hopefully it gets a PS5 port. Definitely an acquired taste game, but I'm looking forward to it.

I honestly don’t mind just highway races as long as the backgrounds are diverse. Like hell Burnout games were some of my favorites and Burnout 2, and 3 weren’t open world. I just want a fun racing game.
