like in the original game (and the latest version of console DE) each area has different lighting and color grading, while the netflix version has los santos lighting everywhere for some reason
Mania is a fantastic game and Steam is good about letting you keep your library. No clue about Netflix though. If anyone is looking for another option, you can get the physical version, with Plus DLC and a 32 page art book for under $30. More expensive but you keep your game if the internet is down.
