this is a new model that combines the ultimate 2c with the ultimate and includes features from an xbox controller (the RGB rings), but afaik is the first to have trigger stops and TMR sticks.

I've got the 2C and it's great, I almost didn't realize an Ultimate 2 came out until I saw the LED Joysticks. On that note, I kind of feel like 8BitDo is getting lost in the sauce a bit with these LEDs and such - as with a lot of these controller companies there's soooo many SKUs and releases, alas

Seems like a great controller and I would buy it but idk what it’s been with 8bitdo lately and the lack of support for PC and Switch with the same controller. The first version of the 8bitdo Ultimate also supported PC and Switch. Gamesir seems to have better support for platforms

It’s a shame too since you can just remap those in the settings. Who knows maybe they will do a Switch focused version but that will likely not have the hall effect triggers just like the Switch Ultimate 2c :(

If you're just looking to get it connected to the switch and don't mind the wrong letters, their Wireless Bluetooth adapter 2 boasts full support for all their Bluetooth controllers and still works for motion control and ultimate software adjustments

Yeah it’s just a shame that it’s another cost on top plus added latency due to connecting over Bluetooth then USB instead of the integrated Bluetooth on Switch

This looks great, but it looks like Bluetooth is only supported on Android, and you need to use the dongle on the PC. That works, it's probably a better connection anyway, but I'd love to not have to take up another USB port to use a controller wirelessly. I'll stick with my 8BitDo Pro 2 for now.

I have the Ultimate 2.4

I shouldn't need a flowchart to figure out what the minor differences are between the other models.
(the Ult 2.4 is optional hall sticks, no gyro, wired/wireless/&bluetooth, and plays nicer with steamdeck than windows remapping software)

my thumbs just dont sit as well in them as they did with the deeper dip of my xbox controllers.
some of their newer models have stick tops that you can pull off,
but they dont include nor sell any alternate tops!

This is nice but it's a shame they haven't changed the shape, it's not as ergonomic for long sessions as the GameSir Cyclone 2 imo. Also I had to replace the right bumper membrane twice in a few years of owning an Ultimate BT, once a year in and once after a few months of the first replacement.

Also I forgot the main reason I switched was I kept having an issue with my Ultimate BT dropping connection while playing w/ the 2.4Ghz dongle. I had the dongle plugged into the dock with nothing between it and the controller at a distance of like, 2-3 feet. I've heard their dongles are spotty fwiw.
