Giant line with wrist bands etc at the Lego store at Topanga mall today, anyone know what that was about?

Looks like the stores were having a F1 themed build event where you can build a steering wheel

1972 pieces? Just 20 more and it would be 1992, the year the first Super Mario Kart was launched.

Meanwhile, the Lego Game Boy set got announced a lot earlier and is coming out a lot later.

All I want is Mario mini figs and they'll never release them.
