My biggest brag from the last few days is walking into a fancy store, seeing an expensive coat, touching it and saying “oh that’s not real leather” and being right. That’s what two decades of thrifting does to you, folks

Having to stick to a budget and determine quality even when a tag is ripped out or clothing is older is a skill you can develop and stops you from buying overpriced clothing that will peel or fall apart in a few years. It’s how I’ve found staples I’ve had for ages
