And as mentioned the other day, Populous 3 is still alive and kicking thanks to its community, and has a mod available via the community launcher that adds the PS1 narration to the PC version too.

It’d be cool if we could see progress on that Unity source port of Ultima Underworld that lets you use the orchestral soundtrack from the PS1 version.

There was a game, many years ago called Satellite Reign. The closest thing I can think of to a modern interpretation of the classic Syndicate tropes, and that was in back in 2015.
