You would definitely have to get selective with Ikiki's stuff but a lot of the games (especially the later ones) do start out quite gentle and approachable, even if they do get hard as hell later on. And the gameplay in those is for the most part very tight and fun even today

Wow, as it turns out, Ikiki is still making new stuff today! And has a Youtube channel with videos on just about everything new. Apparently Hakaiman got a sequel in 2023! Teppoman 3 came out in 2020! I recommend people check out the various Space Station 13 servers, there's loads. One of the better ones is Goonstation, strict anti-bigotry rules and code of conduct. You do need a free launcher to access it, Byond, but it's well worth it. And unlike 14 actually playable.

It's a quite short and simple game as it had to appeal to a very broad audience of non-game literate people, but I really like the way it captures the surreal silliness of Ensor's art.

It's got a beautiful piano soundtrack of public domain tracks by his contemporaries Satie and Debussy to boot.
