Seriously great article, and it points out some VERY KEY details, like how despite EA considering it a 'failure' (and thus putting blood in the water for the bigot brigade), it sold more than many of the year's other high-proflile, award-winning and equally 'woke' RPGs.

The inflated sale expectations EA have might make sense if the game was priced the same a DA:I was 10 years ago. It might have even hit it.
Star Wars Outlaws would have been a day one purchase in the past but here we are a year later and...
Question the narratives passed down from corporate HQs and people bad at math. A lot of 'failures' over the years did quite well.
like even if we're assuming a ludicrous modern AAA budget, at $60 a pop that game would have likely made north of two hundred mil in profits
