There is a lot to chew on this. I feel like I can only claim about 10% of its success, the rest of it lies in the hunger of the masses for this type of genre and how the low barrier of entry made is accessible for people to grab it in groups even on poorer countries.
You can absolutely claim a lot of the success, even on the price front as it was your choice to price it accessibly. Even with the bugs you've been fighting it's an incredibly well put together dungeon crawler with functional online co-op which is a niche you accurately targeted and delivered on.
