This feels all too true. While I definitely want people to check out the games I recommend, more than anything I want y'all to go out there and dig around and find new stuff! Go find new stuff that might be outside of your usual comfort zone!

Too many people want permission to play and like a game. They want an authority figure to say “you must play this and you’re a real gamer if you do” rather than “hey check this out”

Someone recommends a game to me they think I'll like? On it.
I mean, it's not like there's many sites left doing that, and the Steam algorithm is just blind drunk.
