I struggle to fit the f4s in bags, I tend to have it on a peak design strap worn cross body most of the time

Well that’s a good idea. I don’t have many backpack but will see if on might take an insert. I’ve tended to buy small bags for biking/boarding etc, and the F5 is so tall it only fits in my LowePro Hatchbacks with the viewfinder removed which isn’t an option 😅

Think Tank has a pretty good assortment. My newest one is from them and it seems nice and sturdy. My last one was LowePro and I killed the zipper (took 25 years tho).

I tend to use my Thinktank retrospective for my F5 (or similar sized) these days, but also have a couple of old Lowepro backpacks (not longer available) and can vouch for them in general. Also consider the Slingshot. I have the first iteration; looks small but F5 will fit. Bit of a Tardis bag.
