Yeah, last old-school style AC was probably AC: Syndicate. Though, the series went a few different directions w/ those Pirate's Creed games (AC4 Black Flag & Rogue) and Warrior's Creed action-RPG Witcher 3-like AC games (Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla).
