It’s wild how much more engagement per follower this platform has. It’s like you’re not all being fed a bunch of irrelevant clickbait, but actually being served posts by people you choose to follow. What a weird scenario. Groundbreaking technology.

i've gotten more interaction on my actual posts in 5 days of being on this app than i have on twitter, with only half the follower count i have on twitter.
the only time i'd get interactions on twt is when i would qrt something or reply to a tweet that went viral
It does feel refreshing to see relevant content from people you actually follow! It’s like a step away from the noise and toward more meaningful connections. Have you discovered any particularly interesting posts or accounts so far?
Unfortunate about the amount of troll accounts popping up this week. Caught 3 in your replies and reported, but I don't want to start every day with a ban spree like I did a year ago at the old place.
Sadly with popularity these people will keep popping up. On the plus side, there are folks out there reporting them and there is actual moderation team here, so hopefully the trolls will get bored soon.
Also there are tools for community based moderating, so hopefully a few groups will pop up and quickly hide these users if you are subscribed to them (although right now I don't know any good ones, the one there was before suddenly erupted due to disagreement within mod team)
The other half of this is that I’m noticing less ‘flat’ engagement. On Twitter, since the takeover, I get similar interest regardless of what I post. Here it’s more variable based on quality of content.
Shit, I’m gonna have to remember how to be funny again.
Facebook used to be like this many years ago. I remember feeling like I was in a tight-knit community, where I knew every 'friend' in real life. It felt authentic as a result. As the years went by, between the ads, celebrities, influencers, and group pages, it got increasingly algorithmic
I'm really enjoying actual people liking my posts as opposed to droves of porn bots. Nothing against porn bots, I'm sure they're perfectly nice bots once you get to know them, but it's just not what I'm looking for.
meanwhile, on our Brazilian side of the platform, it's all people copypasting the same posts that get thousands of likes and people looking for mutuals. it sucks.
I just didn't see stuff from people I wanted to see stuff from on Twitter. I followed two people I regularly play video games with and their tweets were never in my feed. Pointless really.

So let's enjoy it until they begin focusing on pleasing advertisers.
