People use Twitter to circulate people who likes their art and works in here. So its influx of circulation of mutuals and new people. It helps to find and helps people to find others.
Reason ppl still keep bird app cause its has way more people and most bluesky people prob has it for those purposes

Exactly. The process of moving a following is SO hard and it's not always possible when someone's livelihood is on the line.

I will always encourage cross-posting so they can start building up that following elsewhere, but kindness and understanding comes first.

Am I a dingdong for not really getting this? I don't believe that scraping Twitter just started on the 15th, my own work is already in the soup from dozens of places, with or without Twitter I still have to interact with all kinds of data harvesting likely used to train AI models, no?

I understand artists feeling an urgency to get out of there to protect their works, personally my own work isn’t distinct or high profile enough to really suffer in the same way but I get it, what's there to be judgy about though?
