That's fair, arch is a bit too unstable for me, and I find that what I want to customise is usually the wm anyway. Nixos is very interesting for me, but it seems like a lot of work. I'm quite happy with opensuse leap rn, except zypper being slow
cool! if you wanna hop from that i’d recommend base debian or arch, lots of fun to tinker with and get just how you want. arch is less stable usually, but personally i like it more. the AUR is great. also arch is officially valve sanctioned, kind of, since the steam deck’s OS is based on arch.
Masochists, I spend a day trying to get davinci resolve to work hour looking up help crawling through the web only to end up reformatting and fresh install of onyx only for it to still not work 🤣
...hella nerdy. Not everyone, ofc, everyone is different, but I once encountered them when I was 12 and they were explaining how I MUST switch to Linux (even tho I was quite fine and all I needed is Zoom). Bruh, let ppl use whatever they are fine with, idc abt open source, I don't know coding anyway
Now I'm thinking of the possibility of switching to linux (bc of copilot, fuck it) but still don't understand how 12 yo me was supposed to go "ah yes I do fully understand this topic and absolutely don't use my pc for the most basic stuff, will switch to a much more difficult system in an hour brb"
Panning out from their desktop to their 3d hexagon desktop with skymap, adjusting mouse acceleration, then spinning their mouse ball like sonic & creating a 4d desktop as the screen tears, also literally tears.. maybe

Was a while ago, still the Unity DE
(because we keep our computers close to us while they're building the world, thus the heat gets transferred to us)
Windows users just don't give a F*#k
Mac Users just want it to work even if that means tossing money at the problem.
Also, I’m not sure if I count because I’m using a steam deck for my computer stuff
