Everyone should be scammed in a video game at least once as a means to protect yourself against being scammed when it matters. If you never fell for an armour trimming scam in Runescape, I feel bad for you

It is so bad that scammers can get very clever with their scams thanks to the internet. There should be safe guards like there is for stolen credit cards. Unfortunately there are no safe guards for things like SSN numbers. A SSN number is very insecure in nature. The ID system is more secure.
Even for someone with a technical background it's very easy to fall for a scam even if you know what to look for, and that's only going to get worse as real time voice generation gets better
And yet the same advice still works on it all the same.
Don't panic or give into pressure. Call them from a number on the official website, don't let them call you.
If it seems too good, it probably is. You have more to lose than gain.
Honestly I didn't get scammed in a game ever cus I didn't play online games as a kid but my parents were pretty good at explaining to me how trust works so I also haven't been scammed... Except that one time I fell for a fake amd CPU listing but I got it refunded so still at 0?
