I think it's fine for anyone to call for Derek Chauvin to be pardoned, as long as beforehand a 180-pound man gets to kneel on their neck for nine minutes

Trump is definitely holding this as a “trump” card, he knows this will drive black folks to the streets where he can summarily round them up to send to Guantánamo Bay or murder them.
He got 22.5 years on state charges. Not federal. He probably got some federal also but only those are within Trumps orbit. He can't get rid of his 35 convictions.
