Horses and riders were captured simultaneously, with 22 points per rider and 30 per horse. The maximum captured at once was 2 horses, 2 riders and 5 fighting peasants.
On another note, props to the people who trained these horses. I've been an equestrian all my life, and believe me, those creatures are scared of their own shadows sometimes.
