Warriors update…book six…the thing happened where the thing happens and I looked up at the end of the chapter and it is the first time in the entire series when Orin is crying. He just looks at me and says, “I’m sad.” 💔

I didn't catch on that you are reading to someone, and I find that so beautiful, and you are so lucky you get to.
Looking forward to the day my partner and I have kids old enough to read to. I have so many worlds and wonders I hope to share, and learn from them.
Oh we will, don't worry about that. For the time being we are learning about and loving one another more each day. One day kids will be on the horizons for us. :)
Thank you, I have been making my found family for some time (and reading to them too when I can, lol I recorded my favourite book as an audiobook just to make it more accessible for them)
Yesterday Somebody couldn't hold to tell that he's so happy . I complimented and Reminded him That's What we were made for, to be happy and enjoy life without complaining. It's just so sad most of folks are going through a lot nowadays .
Hank, my daughter is 8 and she EATS these books alive. She once, like a year or two ago, read a whole series of them in less than a week. Apparently they are captivating.
Oh Orin, you are on the cusp of a beautiful and tragic love of reading. Can’t say the tears go away but they often come with love, laughter, and learning as well 💛
I (45) have read the entire series for teaching purposes (I use the series to teach literary analysis with age 8-12), and it’s gotten me several time. When you finally reach Dawn of the Clans, have tissues ready!
I remember this moment with my own son, and I get to relive it a couple times a year in my school library when the kiddos who stick with the series inevitably come to sob on my desk.
❤️ I love to hear that he has connected with it. This was the series that got my reluctant daughter reading in middle school. (I still buy her the books when they come out.)
It’s funny how the lingering trauma of the cat books allows me to know exactly the part he’s talking about by just saying “book six” and “the sad thing that happens.” Thoughts and prayers 😔🫶
My youngest son discovered Warriors ten years or so ago. Surprisingly, my life-long fantasy nerd self hadn't heard of them until then. We've both devoured them multiple times since then and now I'm going to re-read them all again.
i cried my eyes out reading these books in middle school! those were the days :,] so glad that there are still kids reading these books to keep the metaphorical warrior cat torch going <3
Are those still a thing? I was seeing those in book fairs in 1993, figured it was an item I could be a nostalgic millennial about, but from the sounds of it, Goosebumps is just a mainstay of children everywhere.
My 13 year old loves them. Apparently there's a new series out on some streaming service? She loves the old show from the 90s, though, which is a gas to watch with her.

Take Care Hank and family.
That and naming my first kitten, Stormkit
We'll be happy again soon.
We just gotta feel our feelings first.
That had to have been 25 years ago and I don’t think I’ve thought of it since. I miss him a lot, so it’s really nice.
"Do you know what happened?!"
"I do. Here's a tissue, do you want a hug too?" 💚
Is it the Tigerstar and Scourge part? The Whitestorm part? Someone please tell me!
