Reform LTD is a much more worrying development. Farage would use our election to further the influence of this racist cancer within Scotland. Many Tory voters here would jump at the chance to monster any & all non white Scots, blaming them for UK induced job losses here.

The indy movement really need to get their heads together concerning list votes. In all put one region in 2021 the SNP had by far the most list votes for no gain. Even just a quarter of those votes going to SG and Alba would result in an increase of pro indy MSPs.

Unless Alba improves enormously, voting Alba 2 will simply increase the unionist party success by detracting from SG. Now Reform is splitting the vote MUCH better to go SG 2. And SNP 1.

I agree with the other post. We can only minimise the unionist parties at H'rood by being tactical about our 2nd votes. Alba's been a disappointment, but if it goes 'List only' then we need to think seriously about voting tactically for it.

Scotland *needs* all the 'list' parties to collaborate with each other. It has to be #SNP1Scotland2 ( #SNPwonScotlandtoo ). A single non-SNP indy candidate on every list to get the 2nd votes. That's how to play d'Hondt as Unionists do.

I think it was. But in any case the quote is out of context. I think what the SGs mean is "independence isn't their most important priority" - not that they don't support independence (as some like the BBC have read it). Which is no surprise really, given what it stands for.

The 2026 election will be in the same year as the tenth anniversary of the Brexit referendum. With all the hoo- ha that will bring, parties should focus on independence as the best way for Scotland to rejoin the EU, and ride on the back of Westminster's refusal to face up to what everyone wants.
