I'd prefer if it was something mindless I can play listening to music or something to and not pay attention to the story but I'm not absolutely married to that. I'm very annoying and particular about stuff I like so I appreciate any and all suggestions even if I turn them down, sorry if I do

Some examples of things I like that I'm thinking of here: Just Cause, Borderlands, Bulletstorm, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the newer Tomb Raider games, Far Cry, stuff like that

I'm not the biggest fan of horror so I'm not looking to play something like Prey or Bioshock, I'm not the biggest fan of roguelikes either.

Also just to pre-empt these games getting suggested I have played but didn't enjoy: Bayonetta, Vanquish, DmC Devil May Cry. May or may not be indicative of my tastes though, I probably would like games like them just not those games specifically.

this is a bit of a wildcard of an answer but have you played Neon White yet? if you are the kind of person who likes short and sweet shooter levels where you're trying to optimize your route (like the titanfall 2 time trial in the tutorial for example), you will love it
